The Program Committee is developing a collaborative program with the Unitarian Church for Black History Month 2004. In keeping with this year’s theme Brown vs. The Board of Education, the program will feature a keynote speaker and commentaries on five Western Addition pioneers.

The Library and Archives Committee is in the process of establishing a book club for members and friends of the Society. The committee plans to select for its first work a book written about Brown vs. the Board of Education, the theme for Black History Month 2004. Details about book club meetings will soon be available. Please contact Mary Manning, Society Archivist, at 415-292-6172, with your questions.
